In 1980, Mr. Alvin Williams and Mr. James Cookerly formed Security Services, one of the largest security companies in central and western Oklahoma at that time. In July 2002, Mr. Cookerly purchased the entire company and became its sole owner. The company’s OK alarm license is AC#03, which is a unique coincidence considering the OK license number for Alert 360, which purchased Security Services in November 2017, is AC#02! James Cookerly is now retired from the alarm industry. However, during his long career in alarm monitoring security services, he was also a leader in the Oklahoma Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, helping to establish many of the alarm ordinances still in place today.
Most of Security Services business is within a 100-mile radius of its office at 3708 A North 183 Highway, Clinton, OK 73601. The company serves cities in Clinton, Weatherford, Elk City, El Reno, Woodward, Yukon, War Acres, The Village, Mustang, Oklahoma City, Altus, Lawton, Moore, Chickasha, Bethany, and Edmond.
Over the years, Security Services has specialized in some unique market areas, including some of the largest companies in the midstream segment of the natural gas industry, an important and key industry in the state of Oklahoma. Security Services also has focused on oil well monitoring through 24-hour critical signal monitoring of remote sensors. In addition, Security Services also has established itself as a major supplier to well-known, multi-location retail operations in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas.
As the natural gas, oil industry, and the retail marketplace has grown and expanded, the Security Services team decided to partner with a larger, Oklahoma-based security provider to serve the needs of our ever-growing state. Today, Alert 360, one of the oldest and largest security and home automation companies in North America and headquartered right here in Oklahoma, is the new home for Security Services customers!
